CWPM was appointed to Project Manage the $70.7 million redevelopment of Mudgee Hospital. The new facility will be located on the existing hospital campus. It will provide enhanced services, facilities, and care to patients in a modern, integrated building. Delivered by Health Infrastructure and managed by CWPM in partnership with Western NSW Local Health District, the redevelopment will deliver a entirely new, purpose designed facility that includessd an emergency department and ambulatory care, a maternity unit, general medical and surgical units, peri-operative service, oral health, renal dialysis and oncology.
The CWPM team has been involved in the project since design development and is successfully delivering the project on-time and on-budget. Being a new, replacement facility, CWPM is also assisting the process of operational commissioning, operational readiness, decant and transfer from the old to the new buildings.
The Mudgee Hospital project is rapidly becoming the benchmark for how to successfully deliver a new hospital in a regional or rural area.
