The Lithgow Aged Care redevelopment project is a large-scale, complex redevelopment of an existing site that will include the construction of four entirely new buildings, each providing 36 bedrooms, together with associated social and common areas, complete with underground parking and plant rooms.
CWPM has been intimately involved with the project, including the development of a project brief. CWPM worked with the architect to finalise the master plan and concept design. As the commercial lead for the project, CWPM developed the full suite of contract documents in conjunction with the procurement documents with which we managed the tender to procure the design and construction contractor, including managing the evaluation and selection process.
We have led the project administration and management, including acting as the client’s Project Superintendent, which has involved managing potential hurdles such as being able to access suitable, sufficient utility sources to power the new facilities when the prospective supply was potentially compromised.
